Question 1

Does AutomatIR include cabinet IRs?

Accepted Answer

No—AutomatIR is designed to organize and audition the IR files you already own. Just select your existing IR folder. It works with all standard WAV files (16, 24, and 32-bit float) and automatically scans subfolders.

Question 2

Which DAWs and operating systems are supported?

Accepted Answer

Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). It runs as a standard VST3 plugin in any modern DAW, including Reaper, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, and Cakewalk.

Question 3

How does tempo-synced auditioning work?

Accepted Answer

Turn on DAW Sync and hit play in your project. AutomatIR smoothly switches IRs on the beat every ½, 1, 2, or 4 bars. When you pause playback, it stays locked on the tone you're hearing. If your DAW transport is stopped, it can also run on its own 120 BPM clock.

Question 4

Can I track guitars through AutomatIR live?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. AutomatIR adds zero latency (0 samples). You can record live guitars through your favorite amp sim and audition cabinets in real time without any lag.

Question 5

How do snapshots and MIDI control work?

Accepted Answer

You get four quick-swap slots (A, B, C, D) to hold your favorite tones. Flip between them with one click, automate them in your DAW, or assign them to your MIDI keyboard or foot controller.

Question 6

What is your license policy?

Accepted Answer

Simple one-time purchase with no recurring fees. You can install and activate it on up to 3 of your own Windows PCs. Activate once online, and it runs 100% offline, no iLok, no dongles, and no background bloatware.
